Samenvatting van het artikel

Assignments/Articles module

View assignment content of an assignment to be graded

It is now possible for a reviewer of an assignment to view the content of that assignment, not just the completed participant form.
Previously, it was only possible to view all assignments to achieve this, or the assignment was not visible. So now this can also be limited to assignments that the assessor has to assess, so that there is insight into the assignment a participant has performed.

Exam module

Allow Assessor to choose other assessor in an exam

When a practical exam was scheduled directly by a participant, an assessor could not be changed during the assessment. When an exam was scheduled by an administrator/supervisor, this was already possible. This has been changed: also in exams scheduled by the participant, it is now possible to change assessors.

Optional hide file upload on result page for administrators

In the Exam Dashboard a file upload button is shown to (sub)administrators on the result page, for example to upload an extra paper result or assessment form. Showing or not showing this upload button has been made configurable, so that if this is not desirable, we can easily turn it off in the settings upon request.

Include linked questionnaire via execution form in PDF

When a questionnaire is linked to an exam via an execution form, this completed questionnaire will from now on also be included in the PDF download of the exam and the exam file.

Notification exam scheduled when editing

When an exam is edited in management while it is still scheduled, a notification is shown at the top of the page containing information about how many times and where (in the case of a management and school environments structure) it has been scheduled.

Visual improvements Exam Dashboard participant

In the participant's exam dashboard, the display of exams has been updated. Please note; this concerns only the view where the exams are clustered by qualification. Several optimizations have been made to the layout, making the page more readable and easier to navigate. In addition, it is now possible to fold in and out data such as the date and location for an exam.

Display review by deleted user

When an assessment was submitted by a user who was then deleted, the assessment for that block was no longer shown in the participant dashboard/track folder. This has been changed so that assessments by deleted users do remain visible.

Questionnaire module

Additional filter to review questionnaires in the questionnaire overview
In the overview for guiding roles with questionnaires to be evaluated an extra filter has been added: questionnaires to be evaluated. This filter shows only the questionnaires that still need to be assessed by that specific user.

E-learning module

Hide e-learning module from administrators

It is now possible to hide E-learnings in the menu for (sub)administrators. For example, if the E-learning has been set up properly once and the wish is that all administrators can't or shouldn't modify it anymore. We can adjust this in the settings upon request.

PE module

Only show PE activity/qualification link of linked qualifications

In the PE module it is possible to link PE activity to a qualification. Previously, all possible activity/qualification links were shown. From now on, participants will only be shown the linked qualifications.

Timeline PE activities

For both the participant and guiding roles an extra tab has been added to the PE module, showing a timeline of completed PE activities by chronology. For supervisors, this overview can be viewed via the participant's tools.

Display inactive PE activities for supervisors.

The view for facilitators for PE activities they have added themselves has been adjusted so that inactive PE activities are also shown in gray in this view. Previously, these were shown the same as active activities, which was not always clear. Now, with the gray color, it is much clearer which activities are active and which are not.

Process module

Optimization in insight into completed process step via a questionnaire

For steps completed by filling out a questionnaire, the process step block did not always lead to the completed questionnaire for accompanying roles. This is now the case, obviously only if this user is allowed to view the process step and the questionnaire.

Various optimizations around the security of MijnPortfolio

Security is a very large and important issue for MijnPortfolio, in which a lot of (personal) data and other sensitive information is stored and must be kept safe. To ensure that MijnPortfolio is a secure platform and we want to be kept sharp on this, a Security Audit / PenTest was performed for MijnPortfolio in the period November-January. A PenTest stands for "Penetration Test", where we ask an external party to "attack" MijnPortfolio from the outside and the inside. We work with the renowned security organization CompuTest for this purpose. CompuTest uses multiple methods to evaluate the security of a computer system, network or application by simulating an attack by a malicious party. During a PenTest, a team of ethical hackers tries to identify potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities that a real attacker could exploit to get in and steal or modify data. The ultimate goal is to enable the organization to fix these weaknesses before they are exploited by real attackers, and make a judgment about the degree of safety and security of a software application.

As a result of this PenTest, several optimizations were implemented within MyPortfolio to take security to an even higher level. With results; after these optimizations we received the following opinion from Computest:

Computest is of the opinion that the MijnPortfolio application is well protected. The tested components offer protection against the most common types of attacks.
Notably, Paragin resolved even a number of minor potential security issues. Proving that they take the security level of their application seriously.

Of course, we look back with pride at this result and continue to work on security and providing a reliable platform.
