Samenvatting van het artikel

Description

This article provides some steps for logging into a MyPortfolio environment. Paragin will send a login code to one or more administrators by e-mail. Once logged in, the administrator can then create accounts for colleagues and other users. After creating an account, an e-mail will be sent to the corresponding e-mail address. This mail will refer to the relevant MijnPortfolio environment.

Notes

Safety, reliability and security are important themes within Paragin and our software. However, data security is not something that software alone can manage. Below are some tips that administrators and users can use to handle their accounts safely:

  • Make sure you have a strong password. MyPortfolio supports in this with tips, when choosing a password.
  • Do not share an account and/or login details with others. Always create your own account for colleagues, for example.
  • As an administrator, be alert to which accounts are active in the environment. Can no colleagues log in who are no longer involved in the environment in the meantime?
  • Make use of two-factor authentication (2FA). This is multi-step logging in. In addition to logging in with the username and password, an ever-changing code must be entered. This code is obtained at the time of login, for example via an app on the mobile phone. When activating 2FA on the user's profile page, the user is asked to download an authentication app on the phone. MyPortfolio provides suggestions for Android, IOS and Windows. With the app, a QR code can be scanned from MijnPortfolio. To do this, follow the 4 steps indicated on the page.

When using multiple MijnPortfolio environments in the same role, the same login details can be used. This makes it easy to switch between different environments, without having to log in each time.

Settings

  1. When a MyPortfolio environment is used for the first time, the administrator has sent the login code. This code can only be used once.
  2. At the login screen, enter the code. This can be done by clicking on 'Have you received a login code?' on the login screen. Enter the code here.
  3. Next, you will be asked to enter a username and password. These will be required for logging in from then on.
  4. After entering the username and password, you can log in to the MyPortfolio environment.

It is also possible to let participants create their own portfolio via a login page. For this, see the article: Registration page users.

After logging in, the profile can be viewed, added to or changed. The exact content of the profile and the ability to edit something depend on role and set rights of the account. Adding a passport photo can be done on the right side of the page. The file size is maximum 10MB and it must be one of the file types indicated on the profile.

It is also possible here to enable two-factor authentication (2FA), for additional account security. This option can be made available both optionally and compulsorily, for administrators and supervisory roles and for participants.
