Within the test manager, users with different roles can be created. See article 'Roles and permissions'.
Creating a user
Creating a user in the test manager is done as follows:
- Go to the settings menu and choose 'Manage users'.
- If users have already been entered, an overview of all users will appear here.
- Click on 'Add a new user'.
- Enter the user's data and choose one of the roles under 'Role'.
- After entering the data, click on 'Save'.
- The user appears in the overview.
It is also possible to import users. This can be done by uploading a CSV or Excel file, or copying the contents of a CSV or Excel file. An example file for importing users can also be found on this page.
Note!
User names must be unique within this Remindo environment. It is therefore advisable to use a method for setting up usernames.
Assigning question bank permissions.
To assign the user to a particular question bank and categories, click on the 'Edit question bank permissions' icon. It is also possible to assign question bank rights for several users at once. This can be done by selecting the relevant users and choosing 'Set question bank rights' at the bottom of the screen under 'Perform an action'. The same steps are then followed as when setting up for one user.
To assign a question bank to the user, click on 'Add question bank'. After a question bank is selected, the categories within this bank are displayed. Permissions can be assigned for each category and subcategory. At each level, there are a number of options to choose from. If permissions are given to a certain category and this category contains subcategories, the permissions will also apply to the underlying subcategories. Of course, the permissions of these subcategories can also be modified again.
Select a category (if the question bank itself is selected, the permissions for this user can be set for all categories at once) and set the following permissions:
Question rights
No access
When this option is selected for a particular category, the user has no access to these questions within this category.View questions and post comments
The user may view and comment on questions within the specified category under the Versions and comments button. The user cannot make substantive changes to the questions themselves.Edit questions in draft/repair and submit for approval
Within the indicated category, the user may edit the questions that have the status 'Draft and/or Repair' and can place them on the status 'Check' so that another user can give these questions the status 'Approve'.Edit questions and change all statuses
The user may edit all questions within the specified category regardless of the status of the question.
blueprint permissions
When the option 'Questions available for selection' is checked, the user is allowed to use the questions from the specified category for constructing tests. (The user will then need the rights to compose test matrices).
- When all permissions have been assigned, click the 'Go back' option.
Assigning study permissions.
To grant the user rights to create blueprints within a particular study, click the 'Edit study permissions' icon.
To assign a study to the user, click 'Add study'.
After the study is clicked, you will return to the overview screen of the training to which the user has access.
After that it is possible to adjust the permissions, by default one gets all permissions.
View only
The user can only view a test matrix, not modify it.
Change status of blueprint, content not editable
The user can modify the status (repair/approve), but not modify the content of the test die.
Edit blueprint in draft/repair and submit for approval
The user can edit test templates that are in draft or under repair and submit them for approval.
Edit content and status of blueprints
The user can edit test templates and change the status. When the relevant studies are indicated, the screen can be closed.
The user can now create blueprint within the specified courses. Note: The user must have rights to select the questions (see assigning question bank rights).
The Administrator role is associated with all question banks and studies by default and therefore does not have the icons to edit them.
