The shopping basket is available in every question bank within Remindo. It is a function through which a certain action is performed on several questions at once (bulk action). Through these actions, for example, question settings, such as category, can be changed at once and selection questions can be assigned a different status at once.
It is possible to add all questions in the current overview to the shopping basket, by using the button above the questionnaire. This is highlighted in the image below.
Add questions
Adding questions to the shopping basket can be done in two ways. The first is to use the button in the image above. As mentioned, this selects all questions in the overview. Using filters will show only the questions that match the selected characteristics.
With the second way of adding questions to the basket, you select individual questions by checking the checkboxes in front of the questions. This is the column that has a shopping basket above it. Selecting the box for a question will add it to the basket. In the image below, one question is selected with a tick, the other question is not selected.
When questions are selected, the exact number can be found on the left-hand side of the screen. The image below depicts this. Clicking on the phrase '... questions selected' will display all selected questions in the list.
Basket functions
Basket actions are available by clicking on the lightning icon in the image above. So these actions are applied only to the selection, and not to unselected queries that may be in the current view.
The image above shows which actions can be performed on the selected queries.
Option | Explanation |
---|---|
Edit Categories | This option allows assigning a category to the selected questions. If the questions already have one or more categories, they can also be removed here. This function only removes the category that was previously assigned, it does not remove the category itself. This also only applies to questions selected in the basket. This allows other questions in that category to be retained. |
Edit question properties | Use this to assign a property to the selected questions. See the article on Question Properties to manage these. |
Adjust settings | Here the settings of the questions can be adjusted. These include settings for paper test completion, language and calculator, among others. |
Check | Set the question status to 'Check'. |
Repair | Set the question status to 'Repair'. |
Approved | Set the query status to 'Approved'. |
Archived | Set the question status to 'Archived'. |
Lock/unlock questions | This shows how many questions in the selection the current question version can be locked. For more information see the article Question Versions. |
blueprints | This shows how many questions are ready for use in a blueprint. |
Changing a question status requires additional confirmation and an optional explanation. For an explanation of question statuses, see the article: Question Statuses.
Remindo indicates how many of the selected questions can have their question status changed. This is because questions in the current selection may already have a status. The example below shows that of the 16 selected questions, 5 can be set to 'To check' and 11 can be set to 'Repair'.
