Candidate login
As a candidate, you can log in with the data provided by Remindo or with data that is linked to the organization where the test is taken. If the entered user name or password is forgotten or unknown, use the recovery function or contact the person who accompanies the test.
Start or continue test
If the login was successful, the overview page will be displayed. It contains an Agenda section and a Test Summary section. The Agenda shows tests that are scheduled and can be taken at this time. The Test overview contains all tests, practice tests and exercises. Each of these tests can have icons. These indicate different statuses:
- The arrow icon indicates that a test can be started.
- The arrow icon with a circle around it indicates that the test has already been started and can be continued.
- The icon with a check mark (exercises only) can be used to show an overview of the completed answers.
- The graph icon is used to view the results.
- The balloon icon is used to view comments. These can be orange or green, depending on the status.
- The eye icon indicates that a viewing moment has been set.
Next to a test, click the arrow icon to start that test. A screen will appear with a summary for this test. This screen may contain further instructions.
Click on 'Start test' to get started.
Compare results
Candidates may, if the test settings allow this, compare their results with the candidate group to which they are linked. The groups can also be compared with each other. The following icon will then be visible to candidates on the dashboard:
After a candidate clicks on it, a window will open with an overview similar to the image below:
___Answering questions
Above is an example of a page containing a multiple-choice question and an open-ended question. Questions are answered by selecting or entering an answer in the corresponding fields. For example, multiple-choice questions require clicking an answer, while an open-ended question is answered by entering text.
Functions during the test
Several functions are available while taking a test. The following are some images along with a brief explanation of the functions of these buttons.
If the button contains a set time, the remaining time will be displayed at the top of the screen. Clicking on the time will collapse the block and only a clock icon will be displayed. When 10 and/or 5 minutes of time remain, the clock will fold open. It can then be closed again by clicking on it. When the last minute starts, the clock folds open and cannot be closed again.
- The computer icon is used to switch between the font.
- The contrast icon switch between normal display and an increased contrast mode.
- Use the three letter icon to switch between different font sizes.
- The world icon can be used to switch languages. This does not affect the content of the test questions, only the language of Remindo will change.
The call icon is used to view comments during a takeaway. It can be found at the top left of the screen. It will flash when a new message has been received.
- Use the 'Exit' button to end the test. Remindo will always ask for confirmation and may display questions that have not yet been answered. Note! A closed test can never be reopened.
- The 'Show all questions' function will put all questions on the same page. When enabled, this button will change to 'Show one question per page'. This function can be turned off and is therefore not always available. The use of this option may have been disabled by an administrator in the sampling environment.
The 'Pause' button is visible when creating exercises, and replaces the Exit button. Use this function to exit the exercise. It can be restarted later.
- If enabled, a comment can be submitted per question. This will reach set users who can send a reply back, or save the comment and view it later. - Highlighting a question is useful for setting a reminder. A star will be placed in the overview of questions, at the bottom right of the screen. Before closing the test, Remindo will give a notification that there are still marked questions. - The calculator can be used for questions with calculations. This depends on the settings for the test. Its use may not be enabled.
- This is the overview at the bottom right of the screen. It shows by means of the triangle which question is currently displayed, in this case question 6. For question 1, a star is shown because this question has been marked with the mark function. Question 2 is yellow in colour (this may vary). This also shows a warning, which means that this question has not yet been fully answered. Questions 3 and 5 are coloured dark, meaning they have been fully answered.
'Save and continue' will save the current entry and load the next question. Remindo also automatically saves answers in between.
- For questions with a text field, a function can be opened to add special characters. At the top right of the text field is a paragraph sign ( ΒΆ ). Click on this to add special symbols.
- On a test, if it is not possible to go back to a previous question, a candidate will receive a notification of this with the message that answers can no longer be modified.
Highlight text
Highlighting text is only possible if this function is enabled. It can be used to colour a particular piece of text in the question. If this function is available, select the text to be highlighted. An icon will appear with a pen, click on it to choose a colour. Click the pen icon again if the highlight is to be removed.
There is also a combination of highlighting and text selection. When this function is used, a button with a pen icon will appear at the top of the page. Use this to toggle between selecting or highlighting text.
Close
A test can be closed by using the close function at the bottom left of the screen. Closing is also done automatically, when all questions have been completed and the last question of the test is saved. Remindo will then ask you one last time whether you want to close the test. After this, it will no longer be possible to make adjustments. After closing, it is no longer possible to reopen the same test.
