Samenvatting van het artikel

This page contains the steps to set up SSO in Paragin's products.

1. Submit SSO request
Is the school or organization using SSO and would you like to activate it in the Paragin environment(s) as well? Then send an email to support@paragin.nl and mention:

  • Which environment(s) it concerns
  • Through which party (SurfConext, Entree Federation, Microsoft Azure or custom) SSO must be set up.
  • Who the contact person around SSO at the school or organization is (name + email).

The next steps of the technical direction depend on the IdP chosen. See the steps here for SurfConext, here for Entree Federation, here for ADFS/Microsoft and here for SAML/Generic.

Note!

If it concerns an environment delivered through an Exam supplier, please contact the respective Exam supplier.

2. Filling the unique attribute in the Paragin environment(s)
When the technical connection is established, the unique ID (match attribute) must be filled for each participant/user who wants to use SSO.

In Remindo you do this in the "code/attribute" field.

In MyPortfolio, you do this in the RemindoConnect code field.

This can be done manually or by bulk export/import.

When a user logs in via SSO, we get the unique ID underwater. We search for this value within the participants and users. If we find a participant or user with that value in the code(/characteristic) field, you will be logged in as that participant or user.

For more information on retrieving the unique IDs, see the Frequently Asked Questions section.
