Samenvatting van het artikel

Description.

Remindo supports the use of Ouriginal's software. Through this link, a plagiarism check can be performed within Remindo. When a candidate has completed a test, this plagiarism check can be used to see if there are any similarities with texts in a database. Ouriginal displays which part of the given answer is possibly plagiarised, along with the total percentage of matches. Ouriginal also has a setting to exclude specific sources from the plagiarism check. Please refer to Ouriginal's available manuals to adjust this.

Ouriginal's overview is generated outside Remindo. An agreement with Ouriginal must be in place before it can be used within Remindo.

If a test does not contain open or upload questions, Ouriginal cannot be used.

Settings

Enable Ouriginal

Before Ouriginal can be used, it has to be enabled within the Remindo acceptance environment. An administrator can set this up.

  1. Log in to the Remindo testplayer environment.
  2. In the top right of the screen, go to Administration and click Settings in the menu that appears.
  3. In the screen that follows, the option for plagiarism control is at the bottom. Choose 'Ouriginal'. Then enter the Ouriginal Unit ID and an e-mail address to receive messages from Ouriginal on.
Warning!

If the ID is not known or has not yet been requested, send an email to support@ouriginal.com requesting that the Ouriginal features be made available for 'Paragin'.

Using Ouriginal on a test

  1. Ouriginal must be enabled at every test time. When scheduling a new test, the plagiarism check option is at the bottom. Select 'Yes, via Ouriginal' from the menu under 'Plagiarism check on open and upload questions'. If that option is not there, Ouriginal still needs to be set up. See the explanation above on how to do that.

  2. When a candidate has completed the test, go to the overview for plagiarism control. To do this, click on the Analysis icon of the test moment from the planning or navigate to Results > Analyses. In the latter case, select the desired test moment in the screen that follows. This way, only the results of this test moment are shown. Then an overview of the scores and results appears. A column with a percentage of matches is also displayed, in which the report with matches can be opened via a button.

  3. When the graph icon is clicked from the various result pages to view the details of a candidate's result, the matches option is also displayed there. This is displayed on the left-hand side in the menu. When clicked, the similarity indicator appears with a percentage. This is the part of the key that matches texts in Ouriginal's database. Below this is a PDF logo, which is the generated report. Click this to open the full report. Below that again is the log, which gives an overview of the report status from Ouriginal.

  4. While reviewing a test with open questions, it is possible to open the plagiarism check. In the current status bar, the button 'Similarities: ... % (all open questions)'. Clicking on this will open the screen containing the report of the plagiarism check.

Please note!

It can sometimes take some time for Ouriginal to have the report available. If the page does not load immediately, please wait a moment.
